7.2.3. Replacement of the shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket

It will be required to you: a key "on 6", a cap key "on 17", a caliper or a ruler.

PREVENTIONS
Before lifting a back part of the car, include the I transfer and establish an emphasis under forward wheels. Having raised a back part, establish reliable support near a jack. Under a beam of a back suspension bracket it is impossible to establish support as the suspension bracket has to be unloaded.
Replace shock-absorbers (left and right) with couples.
Do not remove both shock-absorbers at the same time on the hung-out back part of the car as lowering of a beam of a back suspension bracket below of an admissible limit can give to damage of pipelines and hoses of the brake system.

1. Open a luggage carrier.
2. Squeeze a clamp and open a cover for access to the top support of the shock-absorber.
3. Turn off a nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber, holding a rod from a provorachivaniye the second key.
4. Remove a washer …
5. … and top rubber pillow.
6. Turn out a bolt of the lower fastening of the shock-absorber...
7. … also take it from eyes of the shock-absorber and an arm.
8. The screw-driver take a shock-absorber eye from an arm …
9. … also remove the shock-absorber from the car.
10. Remove from a shock-absorber rod the lower rubber pillow assembled with the expansion plug and a washer.
11. Take the expansion plug from a pillow.
12. Install the shock-absorber vertically and several times against the stop lower and lift a shock-absorber rod. Make sure that the rod moves without failures, jammings and knocks. Otherwise replace the shock-absorber. Besides, replace the shock-absorber at detection of potek of liquid (the insignificant otpotevaniye in the top part of the case is allowed) and at damage of a carving to the top part of a rod.
13. Install the shock-absorber as it should be, the return to removal. Top and a bolt of the lower shock-absorber of fastenings finally tighten a nut on the car standing on the earth. Having lowered the car on the earth, several times strongly rock it. Tighten a bolt of the lower fastening of the shock-absorber to a beam the moment of 70 N · m, tighten a nut of the top fastening of the shock-absorber to a rod shaft vystupaniye on 9 mm, measuring a vystupaniye by a caliper or a ruler.
    
PREVENTION
At an inhaling of a nut of the top fastening of the shock-absorber do not make excessive effort, differently perhaps smyaty the expansion plug.

14. Similarly replace the second shock-absorber.
