8.4.2. Adjustment of a gap in the steering mechanism

If the gap between a gear wheel and a lath in the steering mechanism is increased, at the movement of the car the steering mechanism publishes knock. Adjustment is carried out at the hung-out forward wheels established in provision of the rectilinear movement.

1. For convenience of work remove the vacuum amplifier of brakes (see. "Replacement of the vacuum amplifier of brakes"), as he significantly complicates access to adjusting knot of the steering mechanism.

4. Holding an adjusting stopper from a provorachivaniye, tighten a lock-nut the moment of 70 N · m.
5. Establish into place the vacuum amplifier of brakes and check correctness of adjustment on the run. If necessary repeat adjustment.
